hen I first got a call from the bride’s family that they wanted me to cover their wedding reception in Carcosa Seri Negara, I was definitely overjoyed instantly. You see, lately I have been hearing rumours that Carcosa is going to be shut indefinitely! Any photographer would feel sad to know that this grand place would be shut indefinitely because its simply a photographers paradise! The colonial style architecture and ambiance is truly one giant prop that we photographers loveeeee.

nyway, I managed to do some interrogating of my own and to my delight the manager informed me that the building is actually going to be under massive restoration. He told me that the Malaysian Government has taken the building in its care and from this point on the building will be maintained by the government fully. Apparently the restoration process will take roughly a year or two before completion.

ell lets get back to the wedding shoot shall we. Munirah and Nafis are truly a sweet couple and I thoroughly enjoyed shooting their wedding because they were so cooperative and very laid back which made the shoot a breeze.
